Hamilton Telecommunications and Central City Investment Club Celebrate First Fiber Build Milestone
August 7, 2026 Aurora, Neb. — Hamilton Telecommunications and the Central City Investment Club are pleased to announce that Hamilton’s fiber internet project in Central City has reached its first 40% market penetration milestone. As part of the partnership agreement between Hamilton and the Central City Investment Club, Hamilton will repay $175,000 of the club’s investment, marking an important step forward in the community’s continued adoption of reliable, high-speed fiber internet service.
The partnership began in early 2021 to expand Hamilton’s fiber network to all Central City residents and businesses. Construction was completed in 15 months, ensuring every resident and business in Central City has access to reliable, high-speed fiber connectivity. The Central City Investment Club’s support was vital in helping to launch and implement initial funding for the project, with partial repayment scheduled as agreed-upon when customer adoption milestones are reached.
Reaching the first 40% milestone marks a significant step forward for the community and reflects strong local support for fiber connectivity. The repayment recognizes both the progress of the project and the role the Central City Investment Club played in helping make the network possible.
